Maryland Motorcyclist Killed Crashing Into Animal, Police Say (Developing)

A motorcyclist was killed early on Sunday morning after crashing into an animal in Prince George's County, police say.

At approximately 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 27, officers were called to the 3400 block of Ritchie Marlboro Road in Upper Marlboro, where there was a reported crash.

According to the Prince George's County Police Department the rider was traveling along the roadway when he unexpectedly struck the animal.

Police say that the the man was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.

No details about the motorcyclist or animal has been provided by investigators.

The crash remains under investigation.
